Step 2

  • Call a new number for each day that passes without an incident.

  • Safety Incentive: Straightforward gameplay makes adoption easy. For every day that passes without an incident, a new safety number is announced and distributed automatically.

  • Send Safety Tips: Attach a safety tip to your safety number to keep safety part of the daily conversation.

  • Daily Notifications: Daily notifications are sent directly to your cell phone or email, so you can play whenever is most convenient for you.

Step 3

  • Monitor employee participation across all of your games from one dashboard.

  • Daily Participation: To continue playing, employees must actively check their safety numbers every day.

  • Activity Feed: An activity feed on the player dashboard lets employees see how their coworkers are doing as new numbers are released.

  • Activity Reports: Activity reports tell administrators who’s playing and who’s not. Check out current bingo cards, review game history and compare individual game activity against others in the workplace.

Step 4

  • Bingo! Announce the winner and keep safety top of mind with a new game.

  • End Game: Game play ends when an employee claims bingo or a safety incident occurs.

  • Admin Alerts: Find out immediately when a player claims bingo through automatic email and text alerts.

  • Save Progress: If the game ends due to an incident, the administrator can choose between ending the game or resetting the jackpot, which prevents employees from losing progress on their current cards.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will employees feel pressured to hide injuries? When it comes to OSHA compliance it’s always better to “Play it Safe”! Therefore Work Safe Pays recommends that within the context of our Safety Incentive program, injured workers never be eliminated from game play after the injury has occurred. That way, there can never be an assertion that the injured worker was discriminated against.

  • What prizes should I use? Cash is the easiest prize to give away, but feel free to get creative. What about an extra vacation day? Or a new TV? Remember, you can also set prizes to automatically increase as new safety goals are achieved for maximum engagement.

  • What if some of my employees don’t have smartphones? No smartphone? You can still benefit from Work Safe Pays. Print out paper versions of bingo cards with a unique ID that links each card to an individual employee. Even if some employees play the paper-based game, you’ll still be able to monitor their progress from the same easy-to-use dashboard.
